Katonah Yoga 10-Hour Training

  • Boston Yoga Union - Back Bay 364 Boylston Street Boston, MA, 02116 United States (map)

Join Emily Jonas for a joyful 10 hour Katonah Yoga Training.

Katonah Yoga® is a syncretic Hatha yoga practice developed by Nevine Michaan over 40 years. She and her teachers incorporate classical Hatha yoga with Taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, metaphor, and imagination — in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being.

Over the weekend, explore rigorous all-levels practices, hands-on adjustments & practice labs, yogic theory, maps & metaphor. In Katonah Yoga the use of theory and metaphor adds dimension not just to the physical practice you do on your mat, but to the way you embody and explore your life.

Throughout the weekend expect to develop your understanding of:

  • Katonah Yoga maps and metaphors, including the magic square

  • Asana as origami

  • Breathwork & Pranayama

  • Restorative Yoga

You will leave with an expansive sense of yourself - strong & joyful, with a whole new approach to a deeply familiar practice - and 10 hours towards your Katonah yoga certification.

This workshop is for anyone curious about Katonah Yoga — whether you are new to Katonah Yoga or working towards your teaching certification, join Emily for a joyful weekend of embodiment, connection, metaphor and magic!
